The exhibitions “Giannetto Fieschi. The experience of art " hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villa Croce in Genoa from 24 February to 30 April 2022 and at the GAM Gallery of Modern Art in Genoa Nervi from 27 February to 30 April 2022 , constitute the third and fourth stage of the great exhibition project “Giannetto Fieschi. An Anthological Exhibition " .

The exhibitions, promoted by the Municipality of Genoa and the Giannetto Fieschi Archive and curated by Andrea B. Del Guercio, want to pay homage to the illustrious painter and engraver born in Zogno in 1921 and died in Genoa in 2010; the exhibition at Villa Croce will be inaugurated on Wednesday 23 February at 4.30 pm and the exhibition at GAM Nervi on Saturday 26 February at 11.00 .

An exhibition project dedicated to the complex and articulated dimension of Giannetto Fieschi could not 'miss' the inclusion of his works in the Gallery of Modern Art based in Nervi ; the Museum, surrounded by a refined park sloping down towards the sea, tells the Italian and Genoese artistic history between the end of the 18th century and the 20th century, so that the section dedicated to Fieschi is closely related to authors and works witnessing one process marked by the aesthetic dimension of time , along a cultural geography made up of tradition and revolution, of the passage of social taste and along the transformations of the language of art.
