On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Giancarlo Sangregorio (1925 - 2013), the MA*GA Museum, as part of the ARCHIVIFUTURI festival, presents the works of the artist from its own collection. Two sculptures and a wall piece highlight the dialogue between materials and forms, characteristic of the artist's poetics, made of essential balances such as that between the lightness of transparency and the solidity of matter. Thus, in the exhibition, we find interlocking and intertwining of glass, wood, and stone, organic and inorganic materials that speak of the unexpected harmony of nature. The exhibition project also reconstructs and documents the solo exhibition that Giancarlo Sangregorio held at the Civic Gallery of Modern Art in Gallarate in 1988, completing the narrative of the historical relationships between the museum and the artist.
