Casa Studio Michetti. Art WorkshopResidence and Studio of the famous painter Francesco Paolo Michetti. The Michetti Convent, located on a hill in Francavilla al Mare (Chieti, Abruzzo), is the headquarters of the studio of the illustrious painter and has been a national monument since 1839. Michetti is the author of the painting The Daughter of Jorio, the winning work of the first edition of the Venice Biennale in 1895. The painter's house, since 1880, has also been a famous meeting place for the Cenacle of the Arts, an artistic and literary forge joined by Gabriele d'Annunzio, Edoardo Scarfoglio, Matilde Serao, Giulio Aristide Sartorio, Francesco Paolo Tosti, Costantino Barbella, Paolo De Cecco, and many other intellectuals of the time. The structure is open for visits all year round by appointment
