Former S.Libera church in Ferrara, now the Lapidary, was built in the fifteenth century. Inside they are preserved ferraresi pieces of collections, those fruit of reuse and tempering, while in a separate sector there are strangers pieces and a group of 9 amphora. The exhibition structure as well as enhance the artistic quality of the pieces figured, promotes understanding of the story collecting and highlights the historical value of the documentary inscriptions. In the exhibition in fact we have been reassembled collezionistici nuclei of origin, which brings us to the figures of eminent figures such as Rinaldo D'Este, Duke of Modena, scholars and scholars antiquarians such Girolamo Baruffaldi and Giuseppe Antenore Scalabrini or collectors such as Cardinal Gian Maria Riminaldi, while the excavation finds and reuses were arranged according to a topographical criteria, which highlights the peculiarities of the Roman population of Ferrara.
