After the success of the 2024 edition at the Jewish Museum of Rome, from March 12 to June 15, 2025, the exhibition Beautiful Esther. Purim, a timeless story arrives at the National Museum of Italian Judaism and the Shoah - MEIS in Ferrara with an exhibition enriched by new works and original insights. Curated by Amedeo Spagnoletto, Olga Melasecchi and Marina Caffiero, with the collaboration of Sharon Reichel and the design by Architect Giulia Gallerani, the exhibition is dedicated to the Jewish festival of Purim, a celebration of joy and redemption rooted in the biblical figure of Queen Esther.

Divided into four thematic sections, the exhibition path unfolds through Renaissance artworks, precious scrolls and historical artifacts, narrating the extraordinary story of Esther: a young woman capable of overturning the destiny of her people, thwarting the plan of the perfidious Haman, advisor to the King of Persia. A story of courage and determination that has been passed down and celebrated for centuries with banquets, disguises, and theatrical performances, focusing on the role of women, exploring the theme of reversal of fortunes and the redemption of the Jewish people.

To complete the exhibition experience, the engaging illustrations by Laura Guglielmo and interactive installations will allow adults and children to explore the story of Esther in a dynamic and creative way, a means of conveying a message of resistance that speaks especially to today's generations.

Beautiful Esther. Purim, a timeless story has been awarded the Medal of the President of the Republic. The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog in Italian and English published by Silvana Editoriale.
