From 17 May to 2 August 2024
Nature Hasn't Gone Anywhere, a personal exhibition by Francesco Ardini, will open on Friday 17 May 2024 in the spaces of the Carlo Zauli Museum in Faenza, which will bring together various works by the Venetian artist including a large installation created in the historic clay cellar, a place literally shocked by flood of May 2023 and recently reopened to the public.
The exhibition, curated by MCZ, will also take place in new rooms of the Museum and will be accompanied by a publication.Bio. Francesco Ardini was born in Padua, Italy, in 1986. He lives and works between Padua and Nove, Italy. In 2011 he graduated in architecture, landscape architecture, at the IUAV University of Venice. He became interested in ceramics during his university studies. A self-taught ceramic artist, he has developed powerful techniques by working on the sculptural qualities of the material, in order to achieve a sense of precarious beauty in his sculptures and installations. The passage of time, the imprint of tradition, the dialogue with the artisans and the tension that binds these parts together have become the focus of his work. In recent years he has approached experimentation with other industrial waste materials, putting sustainability at the center of his works.
