The museum

The Cassino Foundation CAMUSAC Contemporary Art Museum is a new non-profit structure dedicated to contemporary art, built in 2013 with the redevelopment of the industrial buildings of Longo Spa, which already existed at the foot of the hill where the millenary Abbey of Montecassino stands.

The Museum, which houses the permanent private collection of the CAMUSAC Foundation, the result of a methodical collection of works of art carried out over the course of over thirty-five years, has the intention of contributing to the growth and cultural development of the territory of Southern Lazio, which it already boasts numerous sites of archaeological, historical and religious interest.

CAMUSAC therefore offers a further cultural tool alongside those of the University, the Liceo Artistico Statale, the Academy of Fine Arts of Frosinone and other institutions with which it has established exchanges and collaborations.

In addition to the Permanent Collection, the CAMUSAC periodically orders exhibitions of works by significant artistic personalities that emerged during the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Alongside the exhibition activity, conferences, research seminars, conferences, workshops and guided tours complete the cultural offer conceived in collaboration with public bodies, museums, cultural and educational institutions active in Italy and abroad.
