The KALENARTE OUTDOOR MUSEUM of CONTEMPORARY ART in Casacalenda in Molise. The works of this unique museum are spread over the entire municipal area. A project by the architect Massimo Palumbo, who reinterprets neglected or anonymous places in the country through the lens of the relationship between art and architecture. The territory returns to tell new stories, releasing the poetic force, inherent in the places. Contemporary Art is a tool but also a window on the world, the artists involved are the intermediary. Thus in 1992 the Casacalenda Open Air Museum was born, where there are many permanent installations created in the municipal area. The museum is set up inside streets, views, woods, squares. The exhibition spaces are varied and varied and wind along the municipal area of Casacalenda. To date, the works created are 20. For some years the Museum has boasted the birth of the Franco Libertucci Civic Gallery of Contemporary Art, whose collection to date consists of approximately 114 works, mostly painted on canvas, sculptures and installations.
