Accepted the Artsupp Card
In his new series “Peakadilly,” Peter
Senoner presents hybrid wood panels. His 20 new works—some figurative,
some abstract—entwine digital and analog technology. The image carriers were
crafted and prepared at his studio, then sent on to DURST, where a digital file
was used to print on the pieces, before bringing them back to the studio for
artistic finishing. For the viewers, the boundaries between the technological
process of printing and the artistry of painting fade into one another.
Expressed through a diverse range of artistic faces—some clear, some abstract,
some nearly dissolved—the portrait, a signature theme in Senoner’s works, again
emerges in these panels. Eyes or eye symbols exploring the relationship between
the observer and the work of art is another recurring motif—who is the
observer, and who is being observed?
The multitude of colors and shapes reflects the transformation of nature and
the mountains. Senoner’s works invite you to embrace a fresh perspective on
both the beauty and the complexity of humanity’s relationship with the mountains.
