The Bayle Museum is a local history museum located in the city of Bridlington, England. The building, whose name derives from the French "baille" (enclosure), was built in 1100.

Unfortunately there are no sources or reliable information on its origins. Probably the building served as the gatehouse of a wooden castle built by Guglielmo le Gros in 1143. In the following centuries it was used for numerous civil uses: it was a prison, a court for the city, a school room, a garrison for Napoleonic soldiers. and a town hall.

Today, the museum contains historical artifacts that aim to show Bridlington's illustrious history through interactive exhibits.

On the top floor of the museum, once used as a court, the main exhibition is organized annually where the finds are exhibited according to the chosen theme.

In 2001, thanks to a major modernization, the rooms were redesigned and made more accessible to visitors who can now also take advantage of interactive displays and realistic models.
