The European Student Museum, also known as MEUS, in Bologna represents a unicum in the European museum panorama and intends to promote knowledge and study of the student world by retracing, through over eight centuries, the role that the student has played within the University and in society.
The European Student Museum, created by the Alma Mater, is divided into five sections that summarize the evolution of the student figure over time and in its multiple expressions. Inside it presents about 400 objects, paintings, manuscripts, sculptures, reconstruction of environments, costumes from various eras, numerous video installations for thematic insights and films.
It is also possible to consult periodical newspapers, a unique collection of ancient student posters and a rich database with the data of students who have so far graduated in Bologna.
