From 10 February to 30 June 2024
Awaited with great trepidation, the object of a flood of curiosities and questions, the exhibition "Sharks and the abyss, perfect predators in an alien land" has finally arrived and awaits you with over 60 specimens of these fascinating marine animals. It is a unique opportunity to discover the secret of the perfection of sharks, creatures that have overcome great extinctions and evolutionary challenges, without ever losing their deadly power.
Through the exploration of their biology, we will be able to understand how they are born, how they feed, how they reproduce and how every aspect of their anatomy has been shaped by evolution to make them perfect predators of the sea.
The exhibition experience also offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the mysterious world of the sea depths and to closely observe the beauty and power of these unique animals in the world.
It is a long and fascinating journey between learning and fun, which will lead us to discover that there are many more cases in which the shark is a victim of man, rather than vice versa. Many ancient species, which have survived the greatest catastrophes unscathed, are today on the brink of extinction. Getting to know these feared "perfect predators" up close can help us discover that they are treasures to be guarded, rather than threats to be opposed.
