Guided tour | Antigone sentenced to death by Creon
Art is not immune to fashions and some events tell it very well. This is the case of "Antigone condemned to death by Creon", a painting made by the master Giuseppe Diotti in the last years of his life. Forgotten and then rediscovered, the canvas is returned to the museum after the restoration which has restored its original appearance. This visit leads to the discovery of a fascinating story, which is that of the work and its subject: Alfieri's Antigone.
