Spazio Murat is located in the center of Bari, in Piazza Ferrarese, the contact point between the old town and the modern town. Born in 1818 as a grocery market, the space was demolished in the mid-twentieth century and rebuilt in the nineties. Murat space now houses exhibitions, meetings, workshops and concept store Puglia Design Store. Murat Area is one of the most popular cultural containers citizens, dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of contemporary art. Together with the Teatro Margherita and the former Fish Market, it is the Pole of Contemporary Art of the City of Bari. It is the first space to accommodate the activities of the Pole, and is characterized by a rich program of events, with a focus on visual arts and design.
