The Nicolaiano Museum is located in the historic center of Bari near the Basilica of San Nicola. The Museum was inaugurated in 2010 to celebrate the figure of the patron saint Nicholas. The collection is made up of artistic works related to the history of the basilica and the worship of the faithful towards the patron saint. The exhibition itinerary is divided into three levels and thematic sections: antiquities, ex-votos and the saint's treasure. Epigraphs, illuminated manuscripts, parchments, reliquaries, silver artifacts, chalices, paintings and sacred vestments constitute the most important collection. The Museum hosts temporary exhibitions in its exhibition spaces.
