The Nicolaiano Museum is located in the historic center of Bari near the Basilica of St. Nicholas. The Museum was inaugurated in 2010 to celebrate the life of the patron Saint Nicholas. The collection consists of works of art related to the history of the church and the worship of the faithful to the patron saint. The exhibition is divided into three levels and thematic sections: the antiquities, the votive offerings and the treasure of the saint. Epigraphs, illuminated manuscripts, parchments, reliquaries, silver artifacts, chalices, paintings and vestments are the most important collection. The museum hosts temporary exhibitions in its exhibition spaces.
