In this work Thayaht resists the celebration of industrial technology typical of the thematic current of Futurism of the 1930s, often a harbinger of pictorial technologies such as a curious view of pilots swooping over the roofs of the city. Contrary to these approaches, the artist paints an overlapping of dark clouds with an almost romantic flavor, indicative of a perturbed and perturbing atmosphere. The combination of colors, the massive presence of clouds in the foreground and the small sky-blue background window in the center of the table combine to establish a minimum sense of perspective and the idea that the pilot-spectator is piercing the clouds aboard his own aircraft. .
