Taya Galagan (Tatiana Gershuni) continues to experiment with 3D images in her portrait “Andrella”. The portrait of a disguised diva is made with the technique of painting, but it consists of two images, one hidden under the other. Looking at it with 3D glasses, using the red and blue filters, we see two different images. We see a dominant female portrait and then a hidden image of a man. The use of stereo images allows the author not only to broaden the traditional boundaries of painting, without violating its basic rules and principles, but also to study portraiture as a genre, exploring its value and meaning in contemporary art, and to use it to interpret the dualism of human nature, including gender identity.
