Nino Caruso was an Italian ceramist, sculptor and designer. He moved to Rome and was introduced by the Comisano ceramist Salvatore Meli to Villa Massimo, where he met Guttuso, Mazzacurati, Leoncillo, Brunori, Greco and the writers Carlo Levi, Cesare Zavattini, Enrico D'Arrigo. He attended the artists of Piazza del Popolo, Via Margutta, Via del Babuino and after his military service, in 1954 he decided to undertake the activity of ceramist, graduating from the State Institute of Art in Rome.
