Letizia Battaglia was an Italian photographer, photojournalist and politician. She began taking photographs in 1969, at the age of 34, collaborating with the Palermo newspaper L'Ora and found herself to be the only woman among her male colleagues. In 1970 he moved to Milan, where he began to take photographs collaborating with various magazines. After the assassination of Judge Falcone on May 23, 1992, Letizia Battaglia moved away from the world of photography, now tired of dealing with violence.
