Born in 1970 in Japan, after graduating from Musashino Art University in Tokyo, Kazuto Takegami worked as an art professor for some years. In that period he decided to dedicate his life to painting. He arrived in Italy in 1998 with a scholarship at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, the city where he currently lives and works. He combines oil paintings with unmistakable inks on paper, in a poetic discourse between man and the elements of nature. Since 2020 he has been a member of Permanente in Milan.
