Reproduction of a milestone discovered in 1967 near the castle of Sora (Ejea de los Caballeros). The important roads were marked from mile to mile by these great cylindrical inscribed stones. From there comes the name of milestone. This is part of a group of three milestones from the time of Augustus, belonging to each of the three legions with whose veterans the colony of Caesaraugusta was founded: the IIII Macedonica, the VI Victrix and the X Gemina. The three of them built the road that connected Zaragoza with Pompaelo (Pamplona) through the Cinco Villas region.
