closed A masterpiece for Venice

The show

A masterpiece for Venice is the new initiative launched by the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice, in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo as Main Partner, which will see some works of extraordinary quality of the Venetian Renaissance exhibited in the rooms of the museum, in rotation in the coming months. , coming from major international museums. These are exceptional loans, paintings that have only rarely left their original exhibition venue.

The project stems from the museum 's intention to recover and renew international relations in a city so strongly affected, from the point of view of foreign visitors, by recent disasters, in particular the high water of 12 November and then the Covid-19 worldwide pandemic. The intent is to reaffirm that international breath and that propensity for dialogue, which has always distinguished the social and cultural dimension of Venice.
