On Friday 9 June 2023 at 6 pm , the PAV Parco Arte Vivente presents the exhibitions Going with the roots of the Wurmkos group and the collective The parliament of things with Chiara Antonelli , Davide Barberi , Alessandro Cavallini , Traian Cherecheș and Chiara Scodeller . A programming curated by Marco Scotini that relates the production of the historic Milanese collective to a generation of young artists trained in the MA in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies and the Academic Master in Art and Ecology at the Milan campus of NABA, Nuova Academy of Fine Arts.

Six years after the one-man show La Passione del Grano held in 2017, the Wurmkos group returns to the PAV with the unpublished project Andare con le Radici , curated by Marco Scotini. The exhibition, in continuity with the urgencies outlined in the previous two-person exhibition Macchine del Dissenso by Marcelo Expósito and Oliver Ressler, identifies in the plant world a sphere from which it is possible to draw to learn new models of life aimed at imagining virtuous forms of social coexistence, in an attempt to undermine the constitutive hierarchies of neoliberal policies.

The Wurmkos visual arts laboratory, founded in 1987 in Sesto San Giovanni, is a 'Basaglia' experience that relates art and psychic discomfort without setting goals of salvation. In the project presented at the PAV, as well as in all the other activities of the group, artists, with and without discomfort, critics and people who participate in the many actions of birth, growth and development of the projects take part and cooperate. Going with the roots takes shape starting from the spring of 2020 and is the result of a path of self-reflection and transformation whose subject is primarily the methodologies adopted by the group itself. In this process, the practice of mutual support theorized by the militant thinker Pëtr A. Kropotkin becomes a fundamental reference: a primary drive that lies at the center of every form of biological and social life, mutual support is configured as a sort of guiding principle of evolution of life on earth.
