The first half of the sixteenth century is an era in which mechanical ingenuity and technological innovation profoundly influence the economy, society, and the environment. The exhibition path guides you to discover the multiple implications, often ambivalent, of these profound changes.

From the invention of the printing press to astronomical exploration, from maps to everyday objects, from medicine to agriculture: a thematic itinerary through the rooms of the Palazzo delle Albere, where original objects, rare volumes, and ancient instruments tell centuries-old stories of transformation, innovation, and resistance.
The temporary exhibition is part of the Euregio Year of Museums 2025 program, created on the occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of the peasant uprisings in Tyrol. A year of cultural initiatives, organized by over 70 institutions from the three territories, to reflect on the role of technology in the construction of modern societies and the tensions it has generated, both yesterday and today.
