Observe the transformation of the chrysalises into colorful butterflies and witness their first flight.

From March 26 to May 19, the museum's tropical mountain greenhouse is transformed into a home for thousands of moths.

Every week, over 300 chrysalises will be welcomed into special " nurseries ", a protected environment where it will be possible to observe their hatching.

Adult butterflies will fly freely within the greenhouse, feeding on flowering plants and ripe fruit.

The project was born with the collaboration of AMEAP (Asociación de Mujeres Ecológicas y Artesanas de El Porvenir), an association of women who raise butterflies in a small community in northern Costa Rica, and with the consultancy of Francesco Barbieri , a biologist specializing in entomology , scientific director and founder of the company that manages the Bordano Butterfly House (UD).
