The show

The GAM - Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Turin opens the 2020 exhibition season by inaugurating the great retrospective Helmut Newton. Works, promoted by the Turin Museums Foundation and produced by Civita Mostre e Musei with the collaboration of the Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin.

The exhibition project is by Matthias Harder, director of the German foundation, who selected 68 photographs with the aim of presenting an overview, as broad as possible, of the long career of the great photographer who from the beginning has never ceased to amaze and cause a sensation for its truly unique visual concepts. The result is a set of works not only particularly personal and successful, but which have reached an audience of millions of people also thanks to the magazines and books in which they appeared, and the exhibitions of his photos.

During the exhibition he spans from the seventies with the numerous covers for Vogue, up to the later work with the beautiful portrait of Leni Riefenstahl from 2000, offering visitors the opportunity to fully understand his work as never before Now.
