From 12 January to 6 December 2024
Whether it is the drive to learn about Dante's Ulysses or Foscolo's painful wanderings, travel represents an atavistic need for man. From an anthropological analysis, travel is an important event for the formation of everyone's social identity; it is the metaphor of life, understood as a journey between the journeys of the human being. Man has always moved in search of favorable conditions that can improve his existence, both from a cultural, economic or social point of view and, conversely, trying to escape from dramatic situations to have a new beginning. At Parco Villa Gregoriana, starting from January 12th, a series of meetings on the theme of travel understood in the broadest sense; we will talk about the literary, artistic, archaeological aspects but also curiosities within the framework of the Grand Tour and beyond. The modus operandi will be varied: from the classroom meeting to experiential, emotional, olfactory, visual "paths", both within the Park and in those places in Tivoli where our journey will take us.
Accompanying us on these meeting-visits is Ilaria Morini, graduated with full marks in Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, teacher of Literature and History of Art and President of the Artibvr Cultural Association.
