The exhibition “So strange ... so Music! Music is seen ", set up in the halls of the second floor of the MArTA and curated by the director of the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto, Eva Degl'Innocenti and the director of the Magna Grecia Orchestra, Piero Romano, is the story of the music that is transformed in image, design and innovation.

It will be possible to visit the exhibition until next September 3rd.

The MAP Festival, music architecture parallelisms is the first Italian Festival dedicated to the relationship between architecture and music on the occasion of the centenary of the death of the archistar Gio Ponti who created the important work of the Great Mother of God Co-Cathedral in Taranto.
Concerts, exhibitions, guided tours, talks to recompose the imaginary linked to the territory that is also re-designed through culture. The festival, which also includes the intervention of artists and intellectuals such as the architect Mario Cucinella, the writer and journalist Stefano Bartezzaghi and the artistic director of the Enjoy Jazz festival in Mannheim, Rainer Kern, will also count on the performances of Fabrizio Bosso, Alessandro Quarta and Giovanni Sollima.

The exhibition can be accessed, at no additional cost, with the purchase of the Museum entrance ticket.

Also from 24 June, the international designer Fabio Novembre will exhibit at MArTA, his Nemo armchair as part of the exhibition set-up. Fabio Novembre uses furniture design to tell intense and engaging stories, where the human figure is often the protagonist, capable of becoming abstract and universal. In Nemo a face with classic features is carved out to create a habitable space. The result is a head-chair experienced from the inside and which, like a mask, conceals and at the same time reveals its inhabitant.
