IMAGO, UNEXPECTED VISIONS is the title of the permanent collection of contemporary art of the CRAC Puglia which will be presented to the public on Tuesday 24 October at 6.30 pm, in its museum spaces.
The exhibition of the collection was desired by the Ella Social Promotion Association, by the Architecture and Engineering studio MAS–Modern Apulian Style, as part of the IV Edition of MAS WEEK 2023 - Festival of Architecture, Design and Contemporary Art, and by Cooperativa Polisviluppo, from the Archita Festival, promoters of the Taranto Grand Tour 2023 – integrated tourist hospitality project. At the invitation of the aforementioned institutions, the Scientific Committee of CRAC Puglia joins with the aim of supporting and contributing to the project of rebirth and urban and social redevelopment of the Ionian territory, presenting a significant collection of works relating to artists of national and international fame ( Lanfranco Aceti, Getulio Alviani, Massimo Barzagli, Carlo Bernardini, Joseph Beuys Nicola Carrino, Angelo Casciello, Lucilla Catania, Bruno Ceccobelli, Pietro Coletta, Claudio Costa, Fernando De Filippi, Giulio De Mitri, Winfred Gaul, Pietro Gilardi, Paolo Grassino , Iginio Iurilli, Ugo La Pietra, Carlo Lorenzetti, Luigi Mainolfi, Bruno Munari, Giulia Napoleone, Antonio Paradiso, Pino Pascali, Oliviero Rainaldi, Vitantonio Russo, Paolo Scirpa, Ettore Sordini, Giuseppe Spagnulo, Mauro Staccioli, Guido Strazza, Antonio Violetta) who look, through their artistic practices, above all to the project and not to the product-work.
The exhibition is therefore a tribute to beauty, sustainability and social inclusion. All the artists preserve their strong and sunny identity unscathed, without falling into the homogenizing flow of globalism.
