From 26 March to 31 October 2024
Until October 31st, at the Archaeological Park of Syracuse, 27 extraordinary works by Igor Mitoraj are on display for the occasion of “Mitoraj - The Gaze - Humanitas - Phisis”.
An exhibition path spread across different locations, rich in great interest and suggestion that guides the visitor through the works arranged in a logic of close complementarity with the history and meanings of the places.
The ancient ruins and the historical-naturalistic evidence of the Archaeological Area of Syracuse, the former Parade Ground adjacent to Castello Maniace, the poignant lava stones of Mount Etna, not only host the contemporary works of the great Polish artist, but also engage in dialogue with them and harmoniously together become the setting and artistic and cultural contents of the exhibition.
