Weissenhofmuseum

The Weissenhofmuseum is a Stuttgart museum dedicated to architecture. Opened in 2006, the museum is located in a two-family house designed in 1927 by architects Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret, created for the Deutscher Werkbund exhibition "The Apartment". Since 2016, the house has been included in the UNESCO heritage as an exceptional contribution to the Modern Movement. The building is one of Le Corbusier's architectural icons, as it represents the implementation of the innovative way of construction based on the 5 points of modern architecture designed by the architect. The interiors of the house, rearranged in suitable exhibition spaces, tell the genesis of the architecture of Le Corbusier and of the sketches of construction of the house and of the entire Weissenhof district. The museum itinerary is in chronological order and covers the period from 1907 (establishment of the Deutscher Werkbund) to 2006 (opening of the museum).
