The Hegel House Museum

Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel is one of the most influential philosophers of the 19th century. On August 27, 2020, the great thinker will celebrate his 250th birthday. The gift of the city of Stuttgart to what is perhaps its most famous son: the reopening of the Museum Hegel-Haus with a new permanent exhibition, an impressive multimedia experience and an exciting escape room.

Right in the heart of Stuttgart, the Hegel House is an artifact of bygone times and breathes the spirit of the well-known German philosopher. It houses the only museum dedicated solely to Hegel and is also the birthplace of the great thinker. This very special, authentic place offers an innovative and diverse range of museums that make Hegel tangible and tangible in various facets of his person and his life.

The new Museum Hegel-Haus demonstrates the enormous impact of his work and invites its guests to engage with Hegel as a person and his philosophical work. The museum use of the listed building extends over three floors, the core of which is of late medieval origin. The tour of the historic building, which can be explored in three languages (German, English, Chinese), includes an introductory multimedia room installation, various exhibition areas with original objects and interactive stations.
