Palazzo Chigi Zondadari is one of the largest buildings in the city whose uniqueness consists in the internal courtyard with a regular plan which is accessed by two majestic entrances, one located in Banchi di Sotto and the other on Chiasso Largo. The construction of the building differs considerably from all the others that overlook the main square of the city since it does not conform to the fourteenth-century Gothic style, in fact it is characterized by a simple structure and facades in Roman Baroque style, and by the large balcony on the noble floor. Inside the building it is possible to admire some rooms on the noble floor and on the top floor frescoed by Marco Benefial, Placido Costanzi and Giuseppe Colignon. There are also tempera on canvas, with architectural views, on the taste of the Bibbiena and Giovanni Battista Marchetti known as Pianpianino. The Palace also preserves the Chigi Zondadari collection and the family's historical archive within its walls. The Palazzo Chigi-Zondadari, originally Palazzo Mezzolombardi-Rinaldini (Maconi), one of the largest, emblematic and representative buildings of the city, overlooks Piazza del Campo, on the corner between via Rinaldini (the Chiasso Largo) and the square itself .
