Harmas Jean-Henri Fabre is a museum, botanical garden and herbarium located in the commune of Sérignan-du-Comtat, in the Provence-Alpes-Cote-d'Azur region of France. It is part of the National Museum of Natural History. The museum is the house-museum of the famous French naturalist and entomologist Jean Henri Fabre (1823-1915), who retired to the house after dedicating his life to insect studies. In the dialect of Provence, the word "harmas" means land at rest. Although the site was classified as a historical monument in 1998, it was not until 2006 that the museum officially opened to the public. The collection also includes a gigantic herbarium created over several years by Fabre, enriched by over 600 watercolors made by himself. The latter were found in the attic of the house by the scientist's grandson when the house was bought by the National Museum of Natural History.
