closed Reopening of the Sanna Museum in Sassari

The show

On Wednesday 3 August 2022, at 6.00 pm, the Sanna di Sassari Museum will reopen. The event, of great importance for the city of Sassari and Sardinia, is part of a broader enhancement plan.

A moment of great synergy between the various offices of the Ministry of Culture: the Regional Secretariat with a redevelopment project for the Museum and the preparation of the main hall of the Castoldi Pavilion, which began in 2016, and the Regional Museum Management, which in recent months has started a work plan for the temporary setting up of the entire museum, returning to the city the most important finds of the Sanna Museum.

A project idea that will see the launch of numerous initiatives with the involvement of schools, non-profit associations and universities, for a co-programming and co-planning of the future activities of the Museum, which will become an increasingly participatory and inclusive space, the "Home" of the city. The new layout, modern and functional, upgrades the spaces and itineraries for visits with the display of finds, from the prehistoric to the Roman collection, from the ethnographic one to the Phoenician-Punic one. But the regional management does not stop. If the temporary exhibition has finally allowed the museum to be reopened, the design of the definitive and modern exhibition of the museum is underway by the Tortelli e Frassoni studio, which redevelops the spaces and itineraries for visits. Finally, one of the most important places of culture is once again a point of reference for the community, a space in which to weave social relations and an engine of cultural development.

After the inauguration, the Sanna Museum will open its doors to visitors and tourists from 20.00 to 23.00.
