Cirulli Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the new documentary exhibition Propaganda. The Art of Political Indoctrination . The exhibition examines the mechanisms of propaganda through the lens of twentieth-century Italian politics. The focus is on the years between 1922 and 1943 which constitute the most controversial and dramatic era in modern Italian history .

The exhibition aims to historically contextualize this material and encourage reflection on the lines of demarcation between the visual appeal of images and the underlying totalitarian failed ideology . Particular attention is paid to documents, advertising graphics and works of art from the twenty-year period which is followed by a series of works on the margins of this historical period and ends with a section dedicated to the reconstruction and the elections of 1948 . Already presented at Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò of New York University in March 2020 , Fondazione Cirulli proposes the exhibition in the underground space of the former Dino Gavina factory.
