The Memmo Foundation presents the first solo exhibition in Italy by Wynnie Mynerva (Lima, Peru, 1992), curated by Alessio Antoniolli, composed of a new body of works created in Rome during the residency that preceded the exhibition. For Mynerva, personal experiences, collective traumas, and individual desires fall within a practice that tends towards renewed perspectives of the past and present, in order to reflect a future of hope and openness that responds to our times. From the confrontation with the city and its layered history, Mynerva has conceived a new cosmology, a universe in which systems of thought come to life through painting, capable of identifying multiple trajectories.
