Presentation of Gianni Borgna's book PASOLINI INTEGRALE , edited and with an introduction by Carla Benedetti. Greetings from Ivana Della Portella, Vice President of the Palaexpo Special Company. Speakers Francesco Rutelli, Enrico Menduni, Giulio Ferroni, in collaboration with Castelvecchi Editore.
Pier Paolo Pasolini's work reinterpreted from the first Friulian poems up to Salò , to outline an intellectual biography that embraces and recomposes the different roles covered in the course of a lifetime: the poet and the director, the critic and the storyteller, the writer corsair and witness-prophet of his time. Gianni Borgna thus manages to show the intimate coherence of a complex and ramified corpus, and to give us back an "integral" Pasolini, free from the ideological distortions and misunderstandings that his figure has encountered.

AN INTELLECTUAL FROM BORGATA
by Enzo De Camillis. Italy, 2013, 80'
Starting from the period in which he lived in the Monteverde district, between 1954 and 1963, still a countryside area and barracks, the documentary recalls the entire story of Pasolini and the themes dear to him - his closeness to the marginalized and to suburban life, the fight against bourgeois homologation and conformism, direct criticism of conservative politics - through the testimonies of Gianni Borgna, Stefano Rodotà, Ugo Gregoretti, Pupi Avati, Citto Maselli, Maurizio Ponzi and many others. Each one tells his Pasolini, the one he met in person or through his works, with the intermezzo of an exceptional interpreter, Leo Gullotta, who reads articles, poems and writings of the great intellectual.

PROPHECY. PASOLINI'S AFRICA
by Gianni Borgna and Enrico Menduni. Italy, 2013, 77'
After Accattone (1961) Pasolini seeks peasant authenticity in Africa and that revolutionary force that he had sought in vain in his native Friuli and then in the Roman underclass. The film explores this hope which will end in a new burning disappointment: Africa is a reservoir of incurable contradictions which will explode in the clashes, dictatorships and massacres of yesterday and today.
The initiative is part of the PPP100 program - Rome Tells Pasolini promoted by the Rome Capital Department of Culture with the coordination of the Department of Cultural Activities.
