The exhibition is promoted by the Department of Culture of Rome Capital and by Azienda Speciale Palaexpo , conceived and created by INAF in collaboration with Pleiadi , and produced with the contribution of Azienda Speciale Palaexpo.

Macchine del Tempo is an exhibition designed to tell the story of Italian astrophysics and astronomy. He will speak to adults and children, enthusiasts and those curious about the subject. What awaits you is a journey to discover the universe created to make you discover the new frontiers of modern astrophysics and how much Italy is behind the latest great discoveries and incredible images of the cosmos. It will be a pop exhibition made of images, sounds and words that emerge through the best technologies available and with a modern, accessible and inclusive language. A journey that will introduce the public to the main Italian research body for the study of the universe, and which wants to play between the old and the new, with an 80s style, but with contents that speak of today and tomorrow.

A journey possible thanks to the futuristic time machines created by man to observe the beginning of everything ever more closely, from the most remote places on the planet and from space. Large telescopes and impressive infrastructures are the result of Italian ingenuity and research conducted in the INAF observatories by women and men who every day with commitment and passion contribute to pushing the boundaries of human knowledge ever further.

During the four-month duration of the exhibition, high-level cultural meetings will be organised, at Palazzo Esposizioni Roma, with important names in world astrophysics and space research, but also scientific aperitifs and other informal and original events, Poetry Slam competitions and debates which will see intellectuals and politicians active in the field of culture as protagonists.
