From 15 June to 29 July 2023
With the opening of a new space dedicated to exhibitions at Palazzo Carpegna, the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca intends to pay homage to Guido Strazza for his one hundredth birthday, by presenting a selection of paintings from the important donation offered in 2018.
The chosen works are the result of research carried out by the artist in the 1970s around the theme of texture and sign , research and reflections that had already led him to investigate new forms of intervention in space: a relative space, built ad hoc by the artist in order to welcome his own world, his own imagination, with its textures and signs.
Each wall presents a series, or part of a series, of works in which the experimental nature of his research is captured, in which textures and signs are analyzed in their different potentials, according to progressions marked by a rigorous rhythm.
