From 16 December to 30 June 2019
Accepted the Artsupp Card
Curated by Marcello Smarrelli
The exhibition features four artists: Rebecca Digne (fellow at the French Academy in Rome - Villa Medici), Invernomuto (Cy Twombly Italian Fellow in Visual Arts at the American Academy in Rome), Julian Rosefeldt (fellow at the German Academy Rome Villa Massimo) and Marinella Senatore .
The subtitle of the exhibition, There is more beauty, if not in the struggle , is directly borrowed from a passage from the Manifesto of Futurism, published by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in 1909 in Le Figaro: a trace that alludes to the artist's work as a of political and intellectual position - claiming an autonomy and freedom that touches the civil sphere -, but also as a manifestation of the self and of the interiority, linked to a more intimate dimension.
