From 18 June to 19 July 2019
On Tuesday 18 June 2019 , Alessandro Giannì 's personal exhibition opens at AlbumArte - an independent space for contemporary art in Rome - L' apocalisse dell'ora, which will present to the public a new series of pictorial and sculptural works.
The exhibition, open to the public until July 19, 2019, is curated by Lorenzo Gigotti.
Alessandro Giannì (Rome, 1989) collects various aesthetic fragments from the web and social networks with the aim of giving them new life. Within his research there is always a rigorous "economy of the image" where the analogical practice of painting merges with the use of new media, the internet and more generally digital culture, investigating the connections between this universe, other possible parallel worlds and the oneiric-introspective dimension of the human being. In his artistic practice, Giannì tries to trigger short circuits by using the symbols of the history of art to create other landscapes, new imaginaries that cannot be traced back to a defined era.
