From 9 June to 11 June 2023
The Rome Quadriennale and the National Roman Museum present QUORUM. A contemporary art festival , scheduled from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 June 2023 at the National Roman Museum – Baths of Diocletian in Rome.
The event is a three-day event of workshops, talks, performances, exhibitions, screenings, music, with the participation of visual arts operators and the involvement of the public. The goal is to identify paths and system actions that can improve the connective tissue in contemporary Italian art.
QUORUM is an opportunity to meet, promoted by the Rome Quadriennale and produced in collaboration with the Museo Nazionale Romano, to question the relationship between cultural disciplines and society. The quality of this dialectic is very important, because it defines the state of intellectual health of a country and of a generation. Also for this reason, institutions always need to verify the meaning and results of their actions.
QUORUM is presented as an articulated palimpsest, in which different figures come together and the public is invited to interact, in a dialogue that is intended to involve many voices. The objective of the "three days" is not to give answers, but to calculate the right trajectory of questions that will have to accompany us as stimuli to better focus on the many questions that arise in the vital relationship between culture and citizenship.
