The festival presents twelve films in competition, of various lengths and genres (documentary, fiction, essay), produced in 2023-2024 by artists and directors whose works stand out for the uniqueness of their subject or form. The screenings of the competing films will take place during the day, in the presence of the directors, in the Michel Piccoli room and the Grand Salon of Villa Medici.

The Focus section is dedicated to out-of-competition films. It offers screenings and meetings to share special moments with the jury members, the CARTE BLANCHE and the directors within the CONTRECHAMP programming.

In addition to the films screened during the day, the festival audience gathers every evening at the Piazzale, in front of the historic facade and gardens of Villa Medici, for outdoor screenings of recent films that include premieres, as well as classic cinema in restored versions.
