Bruna Esposito (Rome, 1960) roots her artistic practice on principles of inclusion, collaboration and interdisciplinarity, for a research aimed at reality and its multiple imaginative potentials. Through the involvement of groups of people, it intertwines notions of craftsmanship, engineering, architecture, scientific research and promotes a techno-ecological vision of the world. Other Winds - Ostro is the first chapter of a series of works dedicated to the winds of the South, constant and vital presences connected to movement, energy and heat. Design, fans with blades and propellers, are enriched by the presence of fans, primordial technology, or a sort of first prosthesis that allows the movement of air around itself.
Other Winds - Ostro could work anywhere in the world: the device of the battery of a car and the photovoltaic panels, allow the work to produce the exact amount of energy necessary to make the fan blades turn under which you are invited to stop. By contributing to enrich the collections of the Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Art, Altri Venti - Ostro by Bruna Esposito enters the museum collection.
Project realized thanks to the support of the Italian Council (IX edition, 2020), the international promotion program of Italian art of the General Direction for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture.
