The Army Museum Zizkov is located in the cadastral district of the same name, Žižkov, more precisely at the foot of Vítkov Hill, within the jurisdiction of the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague.
The museum is dedicated to exhibiting historical artifacts from a time period that includes the Austro-Hungarian era of the Great War, the interwar period between the two world wars with Czechoslovakia, the Second World War, and finally the period of persecutions towards Czechoslovak military personnel following the communist coup of 1948.
