The Musée Camille Pissarro is a museum in Pontoise dedicated to Camille Pissarro, one of the greatest interpreters of the Impressionist movement, for whom the landscape of the Val d'Oiise was a particularly expensive area, the protagonist of numerous paintings. The museum is housed in a historic building at the top of the city, surrounded by a large garden. In addition to the works of Pissarro, the museum preserves numerous works ranging from the pre-impressionist period to post-impressionism, from 1860 to 1910. Among others, there are works by artists such as Daubigny, Guillaumin, Signac, Hayet, Piette, Cézanne, Caillebotte, Goenuette and Thornley. The museum also organizes several temporary exhibitions in-depth with respect to the permanent collection.
