Saturday 22 April at 5.00 pm the exhibition Roberto Ghezzi | The Greenland Project | Impressions of a change | Works on handmade Italian paper Enrico Magnani Pescia. The exhibition stems from an artist residency held in June 2022 in Greenland. The artist had the melting of the Arctic ice transcribed on Enrico Magnani Pescia's Italian handmade paper. Magnani Pescia pre-treated with photosensitive salts with the ancient blueprint technique.

The map has become a detector of the state and rate of melting of the glacier. Where whites prevail, the compact surface of the ice has prevented the penetration of light, where blue dominates, the light has made its way, the ice has first become a porous and spongy surface that leaves haloes of blue and light blue, then intense turquoise: the ice has completely melted, the light has first impressed the map and then us, now struck by the evidence of the sudden change of the polar surface. On the occasion of the exhibition, 25 original landscapes produced by cyanotype with photographic negatives and 50 glicée prints of melting ice on Enrico Magnani Pescia handmade Italian paper were made.
