The Bourdelle Museum is a museum in Paris dedicated to one of the most important French sculptors: Antoine Bourdelle, pupil and assistant of Auguste Rodine and prolific sculptor. It is located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, not far from the Montparnasse district. The Bourdelle Museum houses over five hundred works made in bronze, plaster and marble. There are also sketches for frescoes, pastels and paintings. There are also some works by artists such as Rodin, Carrière and Delacroix . The idea of transforming his studio into a museum came from Bourdelle himself who, in 1922, began the renovations, although the museum was only inaugurated in 1949, 20 years after his death. In addition, the visit also includes his apartment, left in its original condition. The museum is also home to temporary exhibitions.
