The Regional Museum of Palazzo Mirto is located in the historic center of Palermo. The Palace is a wonderful eighteenth-century complex which now houses the Regional Museum. The museum collection consists of works and objects that illustrate the lifestyle of the nobility of the time. The tour begins at the lower level with the locals who were used as facilities, stables, kitchens, the coach house, warehouses and grocery stores for storage of straw and hay. The main floor or first floor holds a series of lavish furnishings, in sequence: the Novelli room, the living room of "Salvator Rosa", a series of salons called by pink, yellow, green yellow and finally the canopy salon and Tapestry Hall.
